About Us

Forest Knight Creations is a family run business, specializing in sustainable milling of hardwoods and softwoods, building of custom outdoor furniture including live-edge design, and other artistic woodworking projects.

Wood milled is from trees that have fallen or have been removed for safety reasons.  We take seriously the effort to use all parts of the tree, incorporating the principle of sustainability into all aspects of our work.  From each log, lumber is used for our own construction or sold, off-cuts for fencing, kindling and other small projects, and branches or other unusable wood converted to wood chips or sawdust used for gardens.  Sawyer services can be arranged for wood brought to our property, provided the falling of the tree is consistent with these core values.

We enjoy creating live edge planters, benches, tables and chairs that are made for strength, longevity, and design that highlights the beauty of the wood with hidden fasteners and proven protective stains or lacquers.  The interior of planter boxes is left untreated, for those who prefer to use them for growing vegetables or edible flowers.  Benches can be inscribed for those who wish to personalize them.  Most wood used for outdoor furniture is red cedar or fir.

Other woodworking creations include cutting boards, charcuterie boards, table centerpieces, and artistic sculptures that capture the beauty of the tree.  All cutting boards or charcuterie boards are made with suitable hardwoods and finished with certified food grade oils.

We strive to provide high quality designs and construction that honors the tree and the spirit of the forest, that will endure and be enjoyed by our customers for many years.
