The grain pattern on this off cut of Western Red Cedar was reminiscent of celestial rings, and so it became the inspiration for this table centerpiece. The ‘black hole’ is fitted with a florist spike that allows for seasonal floral arrangements. Treated simply with Osmo oil to bring out the shades in the wood, this three foot long centerpiece can hold condiments for the feast or be left bare for guests to enjoy the beauty of the rings.
